The Association of Vice-Chancellors
of Nigerian Universities (AVCNU) was established as a forum for Vice-Chancellors
to interact and engage each other in the formulation & implementation of
policies that foster the growth of Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.
Billed as an annual meeting, AVCNU
members and their delegation gather to discuss pertinent issues and formulate strategies
towards attaining set goals.
The 2009 edition of the AVCNU
conference is being hosted by the University of Ilorin and holds June 1 – 4,
2009.
